Today we took Vidia into her first public place. Her training is going very well although she gets a little nervous when meeting new people or dogs. We went to Cold Stone this evening. Since she is training to be my service dog we thought it was a good time to bring her along. We left her in the car while we went in to order our ice cream. We went out on the patio in front of the store and then she came out to join us. The moment we walked up people backed away. She laid under the table at my feet the whole time as she should. However, we kept getting dirty looks and not a single person approached us till we were leaving. An elderly couple asked us if she was working and asked all about her. Turns out they have a German Shepard Great Dane mix that is also training to be a service dog so they were fimilar with her behavior and my commands. The moment we walked away people resumed in the sitting area.

I am so sorry to here that. You are right humans are rude! It is disgusting how they think that they are above other animals.  Hope you have a better experience next time.

You guys should see it when we go anywhere, with all 3!  People don't walk they RUN!   AND FAST!  

I'll tell you a funny story.  I was taking the young man who mows my lawn home, in my Durango, so we took all 3.  Harley and Jakiya were sitting in the middle row of seats and Isis in the 3rd row.  They all had their windows down and were flappin' in the wind as we call it!  We stopped at a stoplight and the car that was beside us, a woman and a man.  Well the man is like rubber neckin' around her to see the dogs and she was kinda face to face with Jakiya in a sense, she rolled up the window.  I could see him in there telling her he wanted to see the dogs so she rolled down the back window!!!!  I was laughing hysterically!
